(1) DGBAS -- Directorate General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics,
(2) CEPD -- Council for Economic Planning and Development,
(3) IEAS -- Institute of Economics, Academia Sinica.
DGBAS (Directorate General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics) update and release their forecasts 4 times a year in February, May, August and November, at the time when they publish the quarterly National Income Account Statistics (these are included in our databank named NIAQ).
Their forecasts are quarterly data -- some of them are forecasted 2 quarters into the future, others, 6 quarters.
In our databank, "historical data" and "forecasted data" are combined into integrated time series. The exact dividing point of time is indicated in the Document that accompanies each time series.
Chapter 2 lists alphabetically all retrieval codes of this bank.
CEPD (Council for Economic Planning and Development) normally announce their economic planning at the end of each year. The planning includes important macro forecasts, mostly 1 year, sometimes 2 or 3 years, into the future. Our databank consists of these "annual" planning forecasts.
This databank gives only "growth rate" figures. Chapter 3 lists alphabetically all retrieval codes of this bank.
IEAS (Institute of Economics, Academia Sinica) announces their annual forecasts of Taiwan economy at the beginning of each year. They normally forecast one year, sometimes 2 years, into the future.
All these data are "annual". Just as in the DGBAS bank, we combine "historical data" and "forecasted data" into integrated time series. You can find out the exact dividing point of time from the Document that accompanies each time series.
