第4章作業(5、6、8題)之補充說明與提示(Hints)

本週交第 4 章 Problems 第 5、6、8 題。

注意：斜率 (slope) 以四捨五入算到小數點以下第 5 位，利率 (r) 算到第 3 位，所得 (Y) 算到第 1 位。

提示(Hints)

有關第 5(d)(f) 題

課本的 hint 是算出 △Y／△r 再取其 inverse △r／△Y 即為 IS (或 LM) curve 的 slope。為避免混亂，可養成習慣把 r 移到左邊再對 Y 微分來取 dr／dY。

有關第 6(a) 題

注意課堂上所強調： "the amount of autonomous spending (A_p) that is crowded out" 與 "the amount of real output (Y) that is crowded out" 代表兩個不同數值。在概念上，這兩個 effects 都通稱為 "crowding out effect"。

有關第 8 題 

本題讓您從 the real demand for money 函數出發, 改變其對利率的 responsiveness 程度， 實際算出對 LM curve slope 的影響, 並進一步算出財政與貨幣政策因而「變強」或「變弱」了。這些實際數字的運算都可印證課本裡有關 strong and weak effects of monetary and fiscal policies 的討論。
